Meet Pastor Keith A. Baker
Pastor Keith A. Baker was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, where he was raised in the Christian faith. At the age of 19, he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. In 1989, he answered God's call into ministry, serving as an evangelist and youth advisor at Bethlehem Evangelistic Assembly.
During his time there, Pastor Baker preached at numerous outdoor crusades and local conventions throughout Kingston and St. Andrew, Jamaica, and also ministered in New York, sharing the Gospel with people from all walks of life.
In June 2001, Pastor Baker relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where he became a founding member of Salvation and Praise Family Worship Center under the leadership of Pastor Michael Trogdon. There, he faithfully served as a Trustee Elder and Youth Pastor.
He later joined the New Testament House of God, where he served as Assistant Pastor for over five years under the leadership of the late Pastor R. L. Doss. Following this season of ministry, Pastor Baker became a member of Pilgrim Community Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Thelma R. Wheeler, where he faithfully served as an Elder for over 14 years.
As the Lord continued to lead and direct his steps, Pastor Baker received a clear call to fulfill the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." In obedience to that calling, Pastor Baker founded New Tabernacle Community Church of God in 2024.
New Tabernacle Community Church of God is an independent, Spirit-filled Church of God ministry rooted in the Pentecostal tradition. While honoring its Jamaican heritage, the church welcomes people of every background and denomination to worship, grow in God's Word, and experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ. The church is committed to passionate worship, sound biblical teaching, and sharing the love of Jesus with the community.
The mission of New Tabernacle Community Church of God is to Evangelize the Lost, Disciple the Saved, and Serve the Lord, with the unwavering commitment to "Reach the Lost at Any Cost." God continues to bless the ministry, growing the congregation in the knowledge of His Word and strengthening lives through the power of the Gospel.
Pastor Keith Baker is honored to serve alongside his wife, Co-Pastor Yvette White Baker. Together they have been blessed with five children, all of whom have confessed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Pastor Baker remains committed to preaching the uncompromised Word of God, equipping believers for service, and leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. His prayer is that every person who enters the doors of New Tabernacle Community Church of God will experience the love, grace, and transforming power of God.
